Many Views of a Cloud

About a month ago, right at sunset, there was this huge cloud over Austin. At the time we were a bit short of rain, so it was an extra-exciting event. So I was inspired to shoot this time-lapse of the event.

Right, so it’s a cloud, right? As it turns out, I wasn’t the only one to decide to take video of the thing. I checked youtube just now, and the site is crawling with videos of this same cloud. It’s a pretty distinctive cloud, hard to miss.

Here’s the view from San Marcos.

This footage has some Jamaican dub.

While this is dubbed with some orchestral samples.

This has some dreamy music for a technically impressive time-lapse.

Characteristic vertical iPhone footage here

and here.

Or if you just want some ordinary handheld with observer commentary, try this,

this,

this,

or this.
