Five Days Straight of Fishing in Austin

I’ve been bringing my fly rod and hand-tied flies to work, and every day after work I’ve taken to the ponds and lakes on my way home. It’s big change from the state of affairs during the winter when it was a struggle to get a single bite and it got dark almost as soon as I left the office. Now I’ve got hours of daylight on my own time and the fish will readily take a topwater. It’s extra satisfying when the fish take a fly that I’ve tied myself.
